Finally a place for young theatre performers (21+) to sing their favorite songs, try out their audition material, and meet other performers, directors and songwriters in a fun, positive environment. Hosted on piano by musical director and composer Jack Aaronson, Tuesday night happy hour (5:30:-9:30) at Marie’s Crisis is the place to be. Meet other performers and sing along with contemporary musical theatre (Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, Schoenberg, Lloyd Webber etc…). You will not hear “Oklahoma” or “Hello, Dolly” during this happy hour! We focus on modern composers, including rock musicals and no schmaltz. Come in, bring your audition book with you, and say hi to Jack and the rest of the staff. Marie’s Crisis is located at 59 Grove Street (at 7th Ave).
