Mister Gad's House of Improv, Amherst College, Amherst, Mass. Sole Musician, September, 1993 - 1995
  • Keyboardist for improvisational comedy troupe of college students. Troupe has appeared at various colleges across the country and in several comedy festivals. As keyboardist, I provided improvised music to underscore improvised scenes.
  • Composed original songs in various styles to which the troupe improvised lyrics. During the performances, I improvised melodies in several styles, from country and western to Japanese opera.
  • Created sound effects on synthesizer as needed for performance.

Rhythm and Shoes, Amherst College, Amherst, Mass. Pianist, September, 1993 - 1997.
  • Accompanying pianist and keyboardist for Cabaret style performance group. Group performs show music in many styles. Responsible for rehearsing with all performers individually, giving vocal advice. and helping select music to be performed.
  • Play diverse styles of music, including music from City of Angels, Godspell, Evita, Sweeney Todd, Assassins, A Little Night Music, Anything Goes and more.


Education: Amherst College, Amherst, Mass. Double Major, Musical Theatre and Computer Science. Pursued a thesis in the form of an original musical based on the life of Edgar Allan Poe. Extensive training in music theory; participation in many campus and community music oriented activities. Mentors included playwright Constance Congdon.

most accomplishment in the realm of music composition.
